Welcome to our web site!
The
Texas Villadsens, as we know them, started with Buddy and Joann back in the
1940's. With 13 children in 15 years, they became a bit of a legend in the
Orange area.
Buddy passed away in the sixties. "Granny" is still with us
and celebrating her 85th birthday this year (June 2008). She has received
birthday wishes from President & Mrs. Bush, from our state representative
Mike Hamilton, from the Texas House of Representatives, and a proclamation in
her honor from the City of Pinehurst.
Today, all of the surviving brothers and sisters still live in Texas, except
for one who lives in Oklahoma.
Can
you imagine what a "small" family was like back in the 1950's - with
only six children? Just too small to feel like home.
I wonder how
many of the family can identify who these kids are. Our webmaster was the first in-law to join the family (in 1967) and he can
name them.

Today there are four generations of Villadsens that get together
for Granny's Christmas party in Orange. Usually more than 50 at the same
time.
